Our new member, Wynne Ragland, contacted the City of Atlanta regarding the strong sewage smell from Tanyard Creek. Here is the response from the city. Thanks, Wynne, for being a good neighbor!
Dear Mr. Ragland,
We received your email and we take reports of sewage smells very seriously. As scientists, we take reports such yours to be an important source of data.
We will investigate and follow up with you on what we determine.
Please save this email as a future point of contact, and I will provide you with additional contacts for future reference. I will gather and send you additional contact information in the morning.
The combined sewer facilities are part of my responsibilities for the city, and we aim to be good neighbors. If the smell is coming from that source we will make plans to remedy the problem to the best of our abilities.
